2011 Youth Day at the Races
After a full day of learning about all aspects of Quarter Horse Racing, participants took a trainers test which will be graded. A combination of the test scores and level of participation through the day will be evaluated to determine who will win a $1,000 scholarship and represent Indiana at the 2011 AQHA Youth Experience. After dinner, everyone was assigned to work with a trainer to prepare thier horses for the races Saturday night, and then walked with them to the paddock to watch their horses get saddled and run in a race.
